Difference between male and female goldfish

As a rule, female goldfish are slightly larger than males. They are believed to have larger bellies and smaller wings than males. The main difference is that the white spots on the legs of males and females during reproduction are called gonads.

Male goldfish have a solid abdomen, while females have a flexible area between the pelvis and anal fins. Another difference is that male goldfish have a long and pointed chest and strong fins, while females have a rounded chest and a short, thin front fin.

Male goldfish have smaller, more oval anuses, while females have larger, rounder anuses. Males have slightly thicker anal fins and males chase females. With time and experience, you can also become an expert at telling the difference between the two.

Breed goldfish at home

Breeding goldfish is not an easy task, especially for beginners. If this is your first time, you can choose the easiest moth to breed even in small aquariums. However, if you decide to breed goldfish, you have to do a lot of work. You need about 20 liters of aquarium plants and 2 female goldfish with 3 males. Make sure the fish is healthy.
